Saturday update
Algae looks rough. It’s getting uglier. I’m also stumped by the parameters.
Ph 7.67
Alk 8.3 this went up from Thursday I haven’t added anything but BVE NP Pro and Pro Bio
Cal 415 this has dropped
Mag 1350 this has dropped
P04 0 registered 1 on the Hanna ulr
N04 1 has moved in a week. Not eve dosing N04 now
What am I doing wrong?

First stop dosing Pro bio S and NP pro. Dont change anything else. You can do your weekly water change. Also dont dose ABEV. Just fish food.

There’s this reddish brown stuff on the sand and the hair looking algae is brown/rust colored.
Parameters are as follows:
Ph 7.71
Alk 8.5 again went up not dosing anything
Cal 410
Mag 1350
P04 .02 ppm
N03 3ish dark than 2 lighter than 4
Thoughts? Hair algae developing on a lot of my frag plugs.

When you last did a water change? Try to clean them up and then do a water change. How old is the tank? Stop the BEV dosing too. But after water change dose 2 drop of NP pro and Pro bios daily. Do you use GFO or carbon?

Did a 10% water change every Saturday.
I’ve stopped dosing everything last Thursday. Tank was setup in February, I use both carbon and gfo from Aquaforest in the same reactor.

I took gfo offline based on your recommendation in a previous post little over a week ago.
Do you want me to dose 2 drops of no pro and Pro Bio s again daily? Previously you said reduce it to 2 days a week.

Here are my parameters

Mag 1200 seems low
N03 1.5ppm
P04 .02 ppm
Been doing 2 drops of np Pro and Pro Bio s and 5ml of n03
Any suggestions? Or keep doing what I’m doing?

I’ve notice the tops of the rocks in spots are starting to turn from white to red/purple looking. Could this be the start of coralline algae?
I did my weekly water change here are the parameters.

N04 4ppm (I haven’t had to dose N04 in over a week now)

Yeah looks like your system is stabilising. Don't bother about the Alk just keep it steady at any point thats more important. Just don't change anything.
