Nitrate removal

I will trade you some of my phosphates for some of your nitrates. *smile*

Do you have any soft coral or a clam to help consume some nitrates?

I do have lots if zoas and a toadstool but no clam.

I been running them and all I can say is I'm extremely happy with them. Also they are biodegradable and marine certified

I ordered the np active pearls. I sent them a message and they said that if there are no phos them it will not bring down the trates. So they may not help.

There is always phos because you feed and have fish waste. They just arnt detectble. You could also try chaeto or microbacter 7 or any of the other suggestions

Built the algae scrubber, got it installed, and already seeing bits of algae here and there on day 2! And I'm only using an old set of LEDs as my lights. Ill get something better later on, but I just had this set laying around.

All I know is my buddy gave them to me after shutting down a 10gallon. They're just some cheaper aqueon ones. Nothing super powerful. I have a 9" t5 setup but the bulbs are blown so I have to order a pair since no one around here carries the miniature t5 bulb I need for them. But, once I get bulbs for the t5 ill be using it on the scrubber.

It's best if you used 660 NM red with 450 NM blue at a 6 to 1 ratio also cfl bulbs work great ask mike for the type of cfl bulbs he has amazing results with cfl bulbs.
