Well now you got my Red Flag waving. Based upon the current flow of this thread, you may be new to saltwater and are possibly adding fish too fast? How big is the tank, how long has it been set up, and why wouldn't the engulphing predator eat the smaller fish that swim by? It's ok to add the lionfish but the chromis, blenny, goby, and skunk clown may become a quick lunch for a hungry lionfish. I don't konw it that situation would make the fish nervous but it could?ok im looking to add a dwarf lionfish to my tank i have a snowflake eel about 15 inches long several chromis lawnmower bleenie yellow goby hermit crabs skunk clown what are your thoughts on this
They are interesting specimens and I hope you get one if you like one! They do place a larger filtering challenge to accomodate their feeding habits but I always enjoyed watching them eat and hover around the tank looking for lunch opportunities. They are beautiful, imo.ok im looking to add a dwarf lionfish to my tank i have a snowflake eel about 15 inches long several chromis lawnmower bleenie yellow goby hermit crabs skunk clown what are your thoughts on this
Meanwhile in the Caribbean my ex and her friends are catching and killing Lionfish as an invasive species@lion king may have a better idea for this situation? I have not kept an lionfish in many years as i didn't want to feed them (cheap) goldfish when their livers really want saltwater fishes for dinner. They are interesting specimens and I hope you get one if you like one! Unfortunately this is so true not only to lions but pretty much all forms of wildlife.Humans are the invasive species
True but lionfish have no predators in a region they are not indigenous too.Humans are the invasive species; it's the humans that have killed off or collected the lion's natural predators that would have kept their population in check.
