That's what I thought just wanted check. Cuz I got most the Hanna checks because I hate trying to match colors so been trying find a better nitrate test kit

my tank is a FOWLR currently with plans to add corals and turn into a reef tank in the future. I'm currently reading 30 in nitrates and have had fish in there since it was reading 50+. All fishes are just fine, however I plan on overtime working to bring nitrate down to 5-15ppm before I start adding some LPS corals.

yup that sounds like a plan ....the fish can handle high nitrates doesn't mean to neglect them but 30 in a fowlr tank is fine but definitely bring it down for coral 15ppm below atleast from my experience my corals are not affected.....if you want to control it little more obviously water changes are good but skimming helps and maybe throw some purigen in for media you should be good brotha
