I don't need to add a chiller for no reason, so it's a no for me. Plus, you can keep the 20 pound bricks and all that. Give me LED or give me death.
Ok, you can have the LEDs. No need kill yourself. It's probably too hot where you live anyways. Enjoy your lights.

Yep, one of the greatest advantages of a reflector.
Just like the Maxspect Commercial LED Floodlight, they loose lot's of intensity really fast. Their shimmer is so weird too. If they didn't have that reflector they wouldn't be able to even sell those.

Would like to see the data.
No more data. It's visual results on coral colonies and some reports that I deal with.
That's the main reason some public aquariums are getting rid of them and going back to halides.

Which ones itr it's all just bs. Like the dimming.

Awaiting the light loss data and public aquarium list that abandoned them.

Unfortunately, there is no data to be published at the moment. The public aquariums simply don't want to publish them! They probably have some data, but apparently they don't want to get involved with the public showing the facts.
Keep waiting... keep searching... who knows one of these days you will find in one of the online searches you do, Oreo?

So...no proof.
What would be the reason to keep it secret?

You of all people should be screaming to them to release their results.

Oreo... there are things in this life that we have to respect in order to follow the line of honor and trust of those who opted not to publish. It's a matter of loyalty. There are a lot of good people involved in this hobby. Many scientists know many things they choose not to publish for whatever reason. Some times their work isn't still satisfactory or is still in progress. Some other times they don't want to hurt companies, etc.. There are limits of what we can say and what we can show. That is simply part of the deal. If all the public aquariums involved in this matter decided not to publish and not to get involved with the trade, they must have a reason, and we need to respect. My observations are mostly addressed on my own systems and I wish to continue like that. Those who believed in what the results are and tried have seen that what I've always published here is true. With all that said, in many aspects it doesn't need any scientific proof. To keep simple is to keep published.
There is a lot of things Tullio has been publishing that I'm proud of though and we can use to articulate our visions and attribute to our results.
Let's give some more time and see what happens, OK?

Soo calling Radions christmas lights and toys is ok yet..

Public aquariums are for the public and shouldn't cater to the oligarchy.
People have a right to know if they are or did waste tax dollars.
IF they get gov funding that is.
Shedd..
I'm sure I can find it in the financials of them but ..why? LOL

If you don't respond to me I PROMISE that my part in this thread is dead...

Yes, I can call Radions Christmas lights because they look like Christmas lights to me! So what? LOL! They kinda did wrong when they used metal halides and T5s with the wrong application in comparison, just to sell their product! That was more than exposed in this forum for years!!!!

I call you Mr. Cookie sometimes when you irritate me! LOL! I'm sorry.

You know, I've been trying to be nice to you, but you are really a trouble maker and that's all you want to do here cause you never did have a reef tank in your life. Some other guys just ignore you all this time and I've tried to answer your questions, but you don't get it!
Many others left this forum or are posting less than they used to because you just keep annoying them.

Now you go and talk to the public aquariums and call them on that!
Let's see what you can get!
Good bye Oreo.

Tullios best in my mind.
Anyone seen his tank (sorry couldn't resist.. please ignore)?

You have no ability to contest his position in all of his statements though.
They all fit to the reality of reef lighting as facts.

Thought I would report this as I did not know.
I have been trying to get 4 of the lumen bright mini de fixtures.
Coralvue sent me an email back that they have been discontinued.
.
I ordered a couple of the mogals before they are gone too.
That leaves reef bright and Hamton and a few others.

When I was pricing out parts for a commercial grow out I did a lot of research into wholesale horticultural gear. Surprisingly not much more of that is available either. Not like it used to be anyway. But horticultural products can still be found with some digging.
