Nitrates in my tank went from 2 to undetectable in days (I was initially at 16 when I started NoPox).
I'm currently dosing 5 mL per day on a 300 gallon tank. And I feed a bit heavier with the Reef Chili & Reef Roids. Nitrates are currently holding at 0.25 (I check every 4 days).
In summary, if you think you went overboard:
- reduce the daily dosage in accordance with Red Sea's instructions
- feed heavier, to make sure there is enough nutrition in the tank
- check NO3 every 3 to 4 days and adjust accordingly.
On a related but separate topic, anyone using the Red Sea Reef Energy products? How do you like them? I bought some, but I'm waiting until I've exhausted my other coral food before I switch over.
