This is your tank. I agree with above. Don’t buy on impulse it leads to headaches and a lighter wallet. Have a plan and stick to it.Open to anything! I want to eventually have both fish and corals...

So.... I am going to finally get to test my water today (supplies came in the mail)! Since I missed out on any readings from the first 5 days I plan on picking up dr Tim’s bacteria and ammonia on the way home from work in case I get readings of zero and need to see if a cycle is actually happening at all. Once I can confirm that the ammonia is being taken up and processed in the proper fashion and that my water parameters are right, I plan on adding a clean up crew consisting of nassarius snails, hermits, etc. I’m just curious if anyone has any suggestions on how many of each kind for a 32 biocube with about 30 lbs of rock? Basically I need help creating a list of species I want for my crew and all need to be reef safe as I plan to add corals as soon as it’s safe to do so.
Couldn’t find dr Tim’s at the store today...Day 5 -
- tested water:
Ph: 7.4 -8 (would like a bit more certainty here)
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 0
-added bottle of instant ocean
- added small amount of fish food
My plan is to test the water in the morning to see how the system reacts.
