New here. What I’m working with. 5.5 gallon Nano. Tank age is approximately 4 months and a few weeks. No fish. I think it’s too small for fish. Just my rock, sand, and my two blue leg hermit crabs.. my filter is a hyggar hob canister filter. I use ocean water and not self mix. Light I use is Aquaneat LED full spectrum.

My question is this. I don’t have corals. Just me and my hermits. No big deal on that cause I watch them non stop and I’m happy. But I’ve always wanted an anemone. Nothing crazy. I’ve thought of trying a conde. My light might be weak for a lot of things. But seeing how it sits on a glass top, and from the top of the sanded to the top of water line is only 8 inches max. Not including rock level if it climbs. What is the likelihood of my light being strong enough to give that conde ether a light level requirement it needs?

You can put an anemone in a Pico tank. I'm not concerned about tank size. But I'm not familiar with your lighting fixture. That being said, I kept one in a 24 inch deep 90G tank and it chose the bottom(ish) part of the tank. And I was running just T5s. It was happy with what had to be a lower PAR value. I believe the guideline is at least 5W per gallon. Just make sure your tank is fully cycled and parameters are good.

So Greetings and Welcome to our collective obsession!

Welcome! Can you share a link to the light? Many anemones really do not need much light (compared to high light demand SPS corals)
I will do. Sadly the link will be an Amazon link and I’m not sure all the info will be displayed. But I will search more if needed.

I just now reread this message. And I apologize to anyone who had to struggle through the typos. Predictive text did me dirty on that :(

Ah, I am familiar with these. I use one for a 5 gallon planted freshwater tank. I would not buy it again because of lack of spectrum and intensity control.

We can recommend some better options for you, can I ask what is your honest budget?
