Norwegian Fjord

Do you believe this is Brown jelly disease?
What to do?
Remove that coral from tank??
Post the problem in the forum??
I would create a post in the LPS forum. It's not something I have had experience with.

I was lucky, looks like a false alarm. No disease, just other coral sting during night time!! Wrong placement fixed now

I didn't belive that this coral can extend somuch over the night!!
I move the small one and clean the dead tissue on the coral. Looks better now

Yeah, corals will surprise you with their nighttime activities!

Hello, not so many news from me, i was really busy to do some updates. Everything Was fine, nice growth on my corals and not real problems until last week. First i start to have a lot of air bubble in DT from the skimmer i try everything i imagine, no result. In same time i start to add DinoXal a product against dino algae. Was realy eficient and after two addition when light go of my sand was bright white.
This is the product:
https://www.h2oaquatics.co.uk/additives-1/qfi-dinoxal-250ml
In the second day , friday evening, my skimmer pump get broken and i instruction of DinoXal they require hard skimming during the use of this product.
I was thinking that will be ok and i didnt take any action, i just try to fix the skimmer. I didn't manage and i order new pump. Saturday my corals was not in best shape and i performe a 20% WC, sunday worse i do another water change. Today almost all corals close especialy few SPS i have, also the tough Leather Coral look really sad. The fish looks and act ok but the coral look bad and bad...My ph drop to 7.7-7.8 without Co2Scrubber and skimmer. Ca,Mg,Alk ok levels. No3, Po4 still 0. I have a lot of surface agitation.
I really don't know what to do.....i belive i need some help #reefsquad

Point the powerheads up at the surface of the water tonget oxygen in the water.
If you have a way to run carbon in a reactor do that too.
Or purigen.

Getting a water change ready is also a good idea.

If you have a good bottled bacteria use it.
Or seachem prime.

I’m not sure I’d this is from the Dino’s or the Die off of the bad alage
So it may be dino “toxin” or an ammonia spike from the die off of any organism effected

I already add fritz zyme 9 and new carbon in reactor. I use purigen but not in reactor, in a media bag in sump in a well circulated area.
I have also seachem prime and i will add some...
But if it's a ammonia spike why i still have No3 0...

Dunno. Better safe than sorry.

You can have both at the same time - but as saltyfilmfolks say - make sure to have as high surface movement as possible.

Sincerely Lasse

Unfortunately go worse....some of my best growth corals look bed, if i continue like this i will lose a lot of corals. I add Seachem AM guard, im ready for a new water change soon, i don't know what more to do....

Very sorry to hear about your corals.

Water changes, carbon and stronger aeration are normally the best first choice to reduce the issues.
