Yep! I actually got my pack of shrimps I ordered but half died. They had a 99% positive feedback when I ordered. I got into it with her on the message feature of ebay cause she wouldnt respond so I gave a negative review that dropped them down to an 80. She refunded me in exchange for me to change the review. Which I did, but changed it to neutral so it didnt increase her store rating. She only refunded me like 40 bucks but at least my review still negatively impacted her store. If OP bought from them on ebay then get ebay involved. But if its just from the online store… well no fish are coming and this also isnt a good person to ask advise to (like you were in the messages OP).

I mean I have chase private client in my family which this card is linked to so I shouldn't have a huge problem canceling I think its worth a shot. She said her BF is taking care of the shop right now.
Lol.. why are you asking for opinion if you are not listening to anyone here. Get your dang money back. Is clearly a spam and you seem to be an easy easy target. You keep giving them chances.

He is a high school student. We all learn things differently and at that age, more often than not, the hard way.
I understand; however, about 50 people already told him to ask for a refund to which he continuously questioned everyone on the forum.

This is the same kid that was building the automated tester the other day to undercut the big guys. Not sure if he ever got the prototype built as there has not been an update on that thread from the OP. They should be keen to take the advice from us who have been around for a while.
I didn't make the connection!

Isn’t that the same exact logo as @Reef By Steele? It looks just like their mandarin fish in the exact same shape, just flipped around
Oh wow youre right! Yeah this is literally the worst Ebay store. Except for aquasd and corals of eden, both of them are scams too or just flat out refuse to ship orders until you keep buying from them to whatever imaginary number they want before they ship. Awful stores all 3 of them.

We all absorb things differently, some better than others depending on topic, education and perception. I think most of us would be astounded at ourselves if we looked back at some of the things we thought or did at a younger age.

He will either learn from these experiences or won't... just like anybody else here. All we can do is try to provide help from our own knowledge and experiences.

With age and mistakes comes knowledge and experience. We were all less knowledgeable and experienced yesterday than we are today...

In this case, I suspect it would be a parents' credit card and something they will have to handle for him. Hopefully between this experience and the other thread there is some experience gained on the actual cost of things.
It's my debit card. I pay for everything using money from an internship or physical labor.

I would strongly suggest never using your debit card for shopping, especially at online sites of questionable quality. See if your parents can help you get a credit card, or use theirs and pay them back. Credit cards give protections, its the banks money until you pay them back, debit cards carry risk since it is your money used right away.

Mentioned above - already. A "Debit Card" is like a cash or check. Once the transaction is made, it can't be cancelled or taken back . You have no recourse, you are out the money if the vendor is a scammer or refuses a refund. Your only course of action would be a lawsuit and that will cost you magnitudes more than you lost, even if you could figure out who and where to file the suit against.

He can try applying for a secured credit card. It can be quite difficult for a bank to allow someone in high school a regular credit card. But a secured credit card allows someone who is relatively new to build up their credit.

You don't know how much I preach this to people that live on their debit cards. My advice, get a credit card and use it for every purchase/bill possible and pay the statement balance in FULL EVERY statement. Not only do you have protection for any and every purchase against fraud with a simple charge back, you also earn cash back on every purchase. We run all our household expenses and my business expenses through our credit cards whenever possible and earn on average $200-$400 a month in free cash back. This is 100% free money with 0 cost. A good credit card does not cost you a penny......ever......when managed properly. So many people do not understand this. I often think schools should include more fundamental life skills in their curriculum especially financial since EVERYONE needs it as an adult and many lack it.

My two teenagers, aged 14 and 16, each have a credit card. I consistently stress to them the importance of keeping their credit card balance below their checking account balance. Should their credit card balance exceed it, I will confiscate the card, although I haven't needed to do so yet. This strategy changes as you get older and have other bills but at this age it's a good starting point to managing money.

Yep - every purchase goes on a miles or cashback amex card. Every card is paid 100% in full at the end of the month, or early to keep credit balance low on big months. Only time big box store cards are used is when they get a major purchase discount and they too are paid in full at the EOM, otherwise the amex is used.
