Looks like ich and a pretty bad case. You'll need treat right away with copper or CP. You could also do hyposalinity or tank transfer. Pick one treatment and do it well. If you don't have coral or a CUC, you could do hyposalinity in the main display. If you have a clean up crew or coral, it is recommended that treatment be done in a separate hospital tank.

Check out this link for directions from experts here at R2R:

Let us know if you have questions! I hope the fish make it.

Hey Sashaka,
thanks for the response i quarantened these guys for three months and treated them pazipro and copper seperate times. Kept the tank fowel and ive had them back in a month could it be something else?

What other fish do you have in the tank with the tangs and how long have they been together?

Also if you added anything else to the system that was not quarantined (inverts, corals etc) then that could also introduce Crypto. I agree that CP or copper is needed.

I have three chromis blue tank two clown and blue damzel i cant think of adding anything else

Looks more like velvet to me. Copper treatment quickly as velvet is a fast killer. Run display fallow for 12 weeks.

they have been like this for a couple weeks they llok better and the worse i've been feeding with secon supplement anyway i'm tearing it down tommorrow to get them out and start copper

But was there any other livestock added? Either something went wrong in your quarantine (if this is velvet you would have seen it shortly after) or it was introduced another way

ya I haven’t added anything I’ve got four chromis and three anthias in qt right know.

Are they in a treatment period/how long? How close is the quarantine to display? Also do you wash your hands before switching systems? Use same gear for both? Sounds crazy, but there's a lot of variables where something can be transferred.

I'm curious what copper treatment you used and what process was followed?

Ich and start with freshwater bath in event of flukes also and treat in separate tank with copper based meds and provide adequate oxygen

They’ve been in qt for 4 weeks only thing if dosed was prazipro they look good ill treat them with copper along with the other fish I try to be very careful. Maybe not careful enough. I had a six line wrasse go missing 3 months ago you think he is still alive somewhere?

seachem coppermine and hanna test kit

Now these questions "How close is the quarantine to display? Also do you wash your hands before switching systems? Use any gear for both systems?" You likely cross contaminated somehow.

about 10 feet thats probably what happened

Aerosol transmission is possible up to ten feet with a breeze and no cover, but it's likely that it just got transferred on your hands or tools or something. It happens unfortunately. I've accidentally brought home parasites (I was a saltwater/quarantine aquarist at an aquarium) on my hands or clothes and that was frustrating.

that would be very fustrating whats the best way to sanitize equipment
