@i0nz mentioned Fauna Marin Coral Sprint. I wonder how he prepares and feeds it

I follow the instructions, 1 spoon per 120g. I target feed it 3x weekly alternating between a handful of other micro foods such as reef roids, microvert along with several other dried plankton and live plankton. I’m excited to try the new aquavitro live plankton line.

I want to source a Spiral Wire Coral (hexacoral) in the US. I have yet to see one. If anybody knows of a source or has any insight as to find one, I’d greatly appreciate it. *photo below for reference*

Thanks for sharing, I feed very similar only difference is I use fresh guano for beneficial bacteria in food.

I got a few of these guys as hitchhikers with my Florida live rock. I don’t feed them but I know they grab food when the opportunity is there.

Sometimes they have a slight green glow to them but for the most part they are pretty clear. Does anyone think if I actively fed them I would get some more coloring from them?

They appear to be Cup Corals. I have a small colony. Do they have a brown center?

Here’s an update with pics of my second Rhizo, Balano, Lace Stick Coral, Blue Sponge and Chili Coral.

Well I stand corrected, your hydrocoral is very alive (I think). If you look closely do you see tiny hairlike projections on it? Also we have quite a few wire corals at the aquarium I work at but not sure where they came from

Yeah I suppose. They’re just not nearly as profound as what I’ve seen in photographs no matter when I look at it. I’ve stayed up all throughout various hours with the lights on and after they went out to try and witness the projections on it. I assume the white tips are a sign of growth?

Anyways that’s way neat, if you happen to get a chance to photograph the black corals, I’d love to see them. I know @Jomama is working on helping me source one. I find them to be incredibly fascinating. The spiral shape would really tie together a certain spot in my display.

@iOnz
Beautiful coral and exquisite photography. Your Chili Coral is gorgeous. I have had mine for 1 year. I have relied on In tank production of food using deep sand bed. Your pictures are better than mine. Keep it coming.

I agree with your summation of bacteria/plankton as a required food source.

Beautiful stuff! I have tried the lace coral twice, no luck. FYI, when mine declined they started darkening and losing flesh. Yours looks like it's actually growing, well done! Your corals look great!

For now waiting game for wire coral. Thx

Any good U.S. based websites to buy NPS on ?

I don't use but LA, DD. I check out from time to time

I actually found my Lace Stick Coral and Blue Sponge on LA DD. They’re NPS section used to have a lot more unique NPS species a few years ago. Now it’s flooded with poorly misidentified photosynthetic gorgonians sadly.
