there is one setback in your plan
by delaying, you are promulgating the invasion cells to be inputted into every crevice in the tank, requiring more and more cleanups to make it subside. ideally, you'd never permit any invasion and be farming coralline, by keeping the real estate open to what's welcome vs what's not. allowing a new reef tank to go through the uglies as an expected phase is why everyone has such problems in the nuisance algae forum, we're all copying invasion allowance methods vs invasion stopping ones.
it's possible to own a reef tank that is never invaded from day 1 to day--> indefinitely. the real issue is that the work required to cause that after having chosen to start without live rock is unappealing, we're trained to accept the invasion reef to simply save the effort. but it stings us in the end, with tradeoff invasions galore...
the uglies phase are an excuse we make to justify total passivity in reefing/true fact/ this affects reef tank lifespans
many tanks are willing taken down due to inability to undo an invasion, this plan is heading directly down that path.
if you learn to rip clean now, before it's stocked in $1000 in corals, that's a benefit in more ways than one
the benefit is you learn the procedure without delicate animals in tow and you get the feedback that you are able to cause your tank to be in a perfect uninvaded state by simply willing it, there's no chemistry tricks required it's sheer will to copy a roadmap on file
no hesitation and total command over the nano is the best way, begets the longest-living nano reef tanks for sure
lowering light power is a crucial means to being able to work less, but that won't clean up the current condition/export is required. you don't want all that mass dying off and filling up the crevices in the rock/sand etc
