Yeah that's made it alot easier now, thanks also is there a balancing act with no3 and po4 like can i raise one without the other and can i raise nitrate although its lower than the po4?

It's a bit of a balancing act. My target is about 0.08 to 0.1 for phos to keep my softies and euphyllia happy. I'm determined to try and balance it with the lighting period on my refugium, which is why I'm avoiding any sort of GFO. Slow process, but here's hoping that gives me a smooth landing.

Can I ask what you are using to raise po4 I'm dosing potassium phosphate. I'm trying g to get to 0.08-0.1 I can't get it above 0.03 dosing morning and night to not raise it too fast.

I'm not raising mine, I'm working on lowering it. If I were looking to raise my phosphate and dosing wasn't doing it, all of the above advice applies as well. Look at what's removing it.

I Think it was bound originally in the rocks and sand. Then over time my montipora digi and euphillias grew really well and sucked it all up, then from what I understand they were starved of phosphates. I was u aware about this until my montipora were going paler and then started to stn, the euphillias weren't as puffy. I think the rocks and sand are still sucking it up and the corals are getting what's left.
This was it a year or so ago.
