Build Thread - Red Sea 425 LPS tank & Red Sea Nano SPS tank

Hi, my name is Eran and I would like to share with you my build and experience. I started my build 2 years ago with a Red Sea Max 170L and after 6 months upgraded to the Red Sea 425 so it’s running for about 18 months right now. About 2 months ago I added a Red Sea Nano to the main system. I...

Nominate some nanos, please! We'd love to feature some exceptional smaller tanks!

Here's my 20 gallon long that got me in to the hobby I. I took it down and set up a Reefer 350 a few months ago!

Monster Build - Mantis' 400 Gallon Pennisula Reef

I thought it was a little past overdue posting a build thread for my tank considering its been up and running for over 10 years :) As we all know, most reef tanks are never truly finished, constantly changing and evolving over time, mine is no different. So with that said, I will leave you with...

Build Thread - Salty Fingers

Hello everyone! New to R2R, I'm Courtney from London, UK. Thanks for all the messages on the welcome board. I'm coming from the freshwater side, keeping planted tanks for 12 years. It was inevitable... The thing I wanted to do since I got into fishkeeping was have a saltwater tank. Despite...

I nominate @Reefer Matt

Build Thread - The Journey of My SPS Tank.

Here is my 75 gallon sps tank. It was my "challenge" tank about 4 years ago, to see if I could grow sps coral. It is a standard Marineland aquarium with a triple drain overflow design, and a 3/4" return. It has a 29g sump. I used the cheap dc Amazon return pump with jebao powerheads. (They...

Maybe someday, but some things have changed lately.

Thank you! But I decline. There are a lot of other tanks out there worthy of TOTM, from reefers who participate more on this forum.

You’re definitely worthy of ROTM! That tank is gorgeous and some of those colonies look Atleast 2 foot long

Thanks, but actually that is a 75 gallon tank. The montipora colonies are about 4-8 inches across.

Never would’ve guess that was a 75G, it really looks bigger than it is.

Yes, a lot of people have bigger sumps than my entire tank, and probably looks nicer too.

Don’t worry, I’m the same - My display is only around 80-90G (including the sump it’s around 120-125G). However, mine really isn’t anywhere near as impressive.

I think you’re too hard on yourself. Your tank is a masterpiece, and we have a lot to learn from your husbandry.

Maintaining a 75gal “nano” isn’t easy, and I’d love to hear your story of how you became a reefer.

PS: I don’t select the ROTM; I just like to nominate tanks because I have good taste.

I know a gem when I see one.
