through r2r you can look at his posts including things he purchased, I am reaching out to people he purchased from to try an obtain the name and shipping address he used. I know he is located in Hilton Head South Carolina as per a "Welcome to R2R" thread he participated in. Within the last two days he deleted all his social media to include Instagram and his youtube channel, however a quick google images search of "Bransreeftv" will yield images of his face and youtube click bait titles.

If you get the police involved...they could subpoena the IP address of the user from the forum staff (considering the forum technology of this one) and find/charge the real person behind the forum account.

People think there's a lot of anonymity...but that's only partly true in cases like this.

This would be a backup in case your Venmo/PayPal dispute doesn't work out.

Thank you, It is the Beaufort County Sheriffs Department that has jurisdiction in Hilton Head as they do not have their own Municipal Police. Is there any way you could send me whatever information you have? I was planning on compiling all the information I could obtain and contacting the aforementioned Sheriffs Department.

I don't think legally they can say so. At least I wouldn't in a forum. As currently everyone seems to be besmirching this persons name, I understand and agree with what every one is doing even if said person has a criminal record, it can be brought up if they wanted as slander and could possibly sue R2R for defamation of character. Specially if the full name is given out on the internet. As anyone can do a search and ruin this persons life. So i recommend not doing so as a CYA.....my .02

it’s 100% legal. slander does not apply in this situation, it would be libel and defamation would not be valid either. all of which are based on lies. the reasonable expectation of privacy does not extent to one’s name.

Oh man I’m sorry to hear about Venmo. Did they said they couldn’t help because it was sent friends and family? Like someone else has said, you can still recover it through making a claim and contacting police.

A friend of mine bought some motorcycle parts online that were never sent, and he sent the money friends and family, but was able to get the money back. I’ll ask him what exactly he did to get it back, and I’ll post it here.
