Well I was going to sell one but thanks for the advice. I’ll use them all.

You want lights hung usually around 8" off the water.

Each manufacturer will suggest different heights.

It is better for spread.

But with 3 lights spread over 4 feet, do I need them to be higher? That is 12 inches between each light.
 
Yes just lower overall intensity....

You need them to be higher so the saltwater doesn't corrode it to all hell
