Old school equipment

I think they have more of a chance to fail because of all the tech that can break. Not to mention you now have a controller that can break and an account adapter that can fail. Now that's 2 more pieces of equipment.

I'm not trying to talk you out of it. I think Ecotec is probably the better of the brands and potentially the least likely to have problems. That said I have a friend who had that same pump fail.

All this new equipment doesn't seem to be so reliable

OK maybe I'll stick to what I already have

Don't take my word for it though please. Go play with one somewhere and talk to people who own them I'd be willing to bet most people will tell you their great but find people who have had one for a couple of years. That would be my suggestion
