one spot foxface or a bristletooth tang

Safest would be the tang and also less maintenance . With the appetite of the foxface your redox would be lower with the waste it puts into the tank vs the tang . This equals less maintaince for you and time for your studies seeing you are going back to school . Best of luck to you with your tank and going back to further your education .

Wow, I've never heard of that actually happening!
I used to work at an LFS and the first time I saw a foxface the bloke I worked for warned me about them. Being new to the hobby I questioned why someone would want to buy something venomous, he replied he's never had any issues related to the venom with them and other fish. He's been in the hobby for over 20 years.
I guess we learn something new everyday!
I retract my last post lol.

It's all good . It's a forum for a reason and I am here just like you to learn . Don't get me wrong I love my bicolor foxface . Have a great evening .

Not sure what you have for corals but in my experience with foxfaces they are great for a few years but after they mature they can be a menace. Everyone I have ever had eventually starts nipping at corals. I will not have another one in my reef ever again. A kole tang stays smaller and in my opinion would be a better fit.

a one spot foxface is the smallest of the rabbit fish. all others are imo, to large for a 75. I got mine a year ago. went from 3" to 5". totally peaceful. it does eat like a pig. doesn't bother any coral. not a ich magnet like tangs, especially in a tank that small.

I'd suggest a white tail kole tang. Nobody ever has them.

I do! (and a few others on here) Live Aquaria has some right now!
