Opinion/help/ideas

I can grab it. It’s “stringy” and green. Smells like grass.
Took a pic of it inside of the tank and another out, collected from the filter sock (second time I clean it today)

And it grows with or without flow. I have tried keeping the power head at minimum, didn’t change the growth.

Again: in the tank it looks darker and brown, but I guess it’s due to the lights.

Quick update + question

So...I took two pics of the evil creature inside a turkey baster. GHA confirmed, right?

The question is related to a wild idea. I remembered that, from my freshwater times, I solved a small algae issue with a few mollies. Then I thought..they’re brackish water fish. Googled and, to my surprise, people use them in saltwater tanks as well...to help eat GHA!
What do you guys think? Worth trying?

Thank you again for all the help.

Molly's are awesome cleaning critters. I have one in my freshwater and I would reccomend getting maybe 2, I'm guessing your size is ~20 gallons from when you said red sea reefer nano. 2 sounds like a good place to start. They poop alot because they eat alot!

I used to have them. Remember I started with 1 male and 3 females. In no time I was giving away mollies to friends at school lol

I’ll if I can find two females tomorrow (to avoid them breeding lol)
