Man your Red Planet looks nice, mine has unfortunately turned a deep red. It's not as bad as it did look though. What lighting and flow is that it?

Mine is sitting on a nice spot... Thanks to Brian at OGallery...

Right now it is in my Biocube 14, under a 14k 70 watt sunpod. I have about 50x turnover in the tank. I just got it today, I am starting the frag lower in my tank and progressively over the week, moving it up.

Thanks for the comments:bigsmile:

oh man, I love red planet, can't wait to get my hands on one

Very few nice deep red SPS corals out there. Is that really a bad thing?

very nice. :)
i picked up one not long ago from coral corral and i love it. its just georgeous!!!!!

I have a frag I picked up in Jan. It hasn't really been growing fast for me. I've been lucky enough to keep the green base, though. It really has some strong color and great contrast!

pnoy: How has yours been growing?

SS

awesome i cant wait for mine to get it. Im really excited because a friend of mine is making a big order directly from ORA with awesome prices!

That's a great looking stick! Be sure to update the thread and show us how it progresses with growth and a possible color shift.

Well, I fragged the "stick" and left the base on the ORA plug. The large top portion is now fixed to its permanent location. I figure I will let the base portion regrow and then sell it:bigsmile: Funny thing is, ever since I fragged it(2 days ago) it has had the best polyp extension since I got it. So, I guess that means it is happy where it is. Such a nice piece. I will post some updated pics when I get a chance.

So from the picture it looks like your RP went ahead and turned red, does it have any green on it left? I moved mine to about 8 inches under my metal halide and now the base is a deep green instead of red, so hopefully itll gain that coloration back. I have NO CLUE how ORA keeps them colored up like that lol.

I fragged it. So the ORA base has the green part of the original frag. I am hoping that the large part(pictured) will table out with some nice green coloring. Only time will tell.
