I just purchased one of these from Diver’s Den. He didn’t eat for the first 2 days. Just swam up and down in the front upper corner of the tank. He is a pretty brave little guy and didn’t seem to be bothered when other fish came to check him out. On the third day, he started eating Reef Frenzy - but just picking at it. Then, the same day I put in some brine shrimp soaked in SELCON, and he slurped that stuff up like spaghetti! Today was the 4th day, and he nibbled at some flakes and PE Calanus. Pretty much ignored pellets though. So I went back to the brine shrimp and he loves it. He started swimming around a bit more but he still spends much of his time swimming in an up and down motion. I have an LPS/softy tank and he is leaving my corals alone. Hopefully I can get him to be more enthusiastic about more nutritious foods soon. But overall, I’m really happy with the fish that DD sent. Just to have one of these guys taking frozen food and flakes is worth far more than the 44 bucks they charged me! In the same order, DD delivered a court jester goby that looked very fat and active. This was my first order with DD and I am very impressed!
these guys are beautiful and hit or miss when it comes to taking anything other millepora.
try masstick. they need to eat throughout the day to get fat . . . been able to train them to eat it, as well as feeding from tweezers.

Do I need to mix any other food into the masstick, or just feed it as-is?
just mix the masstick powder with a bit of water, until it has a texture that you can work between your fingers like slightly dry gum. also mixed with selcon for some added nutrition.
stick some to live/dead millepora and or glass. also try holding some thawed frozen food with tweezers...they can learn to eat from the column but best to make sure they are getting what they need, very high metabolism.
