Ive been having some problems programming my light to have the best colors and intensity for my tank. Whenever i do the setting it never does the sunrise and sunset or the moon light just keeps the day time light on but when i used the ones already pre installed it does everything. is there something I'm doing wrong?

I just used one of the preprogrammed ones and modified it by adding moonlight. I called customer service and they walked me through it Sorry I don't remember all the steps to it.

ahh okay thanks maybe ill give them a call cause using the 100% is giving me a lot of algae in the tank.

Yeah had that problem too. Went to the fourth program and added moonlight

you remember how you added the moonlight? if so i might just do that

This might be it. But I didn't try it yet just followed instructions over the phone.

Press M4
Press CH1 (Blue)
Press Min Intensity
Use UP arrow key to raise to 10%
Press Enter
Press Moonlight
Press Up arrow key once to add 1 hour of moonlight
Press Enter
Press M4 and hold for 5 seconds to save. Screen will flash SL4

Then simply press EnterResume to have your controller go back into timer mode.

It's never easy like they want you to believe. I also changed my clock so it comes on in the afternoon instead.

ya im not sure so I'm just going to play with it a little and set the moonlight at 6pm and see if it starts to go down

I just installed a Marine Pro Dual set and I was thinking about this same issue. I have had the time to take in the whole instruction manual which is not easy. A lot of button press combinations to get something done. Can I eventually upgrade this light to be wifi enabled with the Loop and then program it via computer?

i was wondering the same. will the wifi that will be used on the loop for for the pro as well cause that would make things a lot better

I just adjusted everything within their pre-program settings. :)

You can change ramp up and ramp down time + max intensities for both channels in their pre-program modes.

My new problem is that it looks like it is not taking any of my adjustments. Here's a simple example:

I'm trying to use Timer M1, the 10-hour Full Intensity setting. The On Time is 8:00AM/8:15AM. I want these to be 7:00AM/7:15AM. I performed the steps last night, it looked like it took the programming but the lights were not on this morning after 7:00 AM. Grrrrr.....
What am I doing wrong?

you have to hit the M1 button then press the channel button and it should show ramp up time. change that then hold down the m1 button until it flashes M1. then hit they channel button again to see it it held your change.

you have to make one change at a time.

Is the controller's display time correct?

Yes, the time is the only thing I've done correctly! :)

I have been hitting ENTER at the end, not holding down the M1 Button. Question: do I hold down M1 or Timer M1?

I hit the Timer M1 button to start the change then you hold down the Timer M1 button again to save. Your screen should go blank then it will flash M1 when it stored, hold down Timer M1 button until M1 pops back up. Then, while your in M1 mode hit the channel button to see if it held your change.

lol,
Before I figured out how to make the changes. I made the display timer wrong so my channels would startup in the morning at the time I wanted. So if the pre-program said start at 10 am and I wanted it to start at 9 am then I moved the timer's (Time) one hour ahead of my real time.

X 2- Sorry Marine orbit but your controller is a total point of sale and I can't wait to upgrade. Anyone considering this unit , run the other way or prepare for lots of headaches
