orbit marine pro

Soooo, after some help from GoVols, my Orbit Marine Pro is doing well. Programming is doing exactly what I want it to do. I like this LED, just wish the UI for programming was better than trying to do everything with the remote. An app or link to a website would make this the perfect light.

yes i was able to get mine done as well, i also called the company and they walked me through it and worked out perfect. i do agree they need to make some kind of an app for the Pros.

Isn't the Marine Pro more of a "flagship product" as compared to the Orbit IC? It would make sense to me that the Marine Pro should be able to do what the IC can do and have improvements on it? I bought this LED because of the PAR and spread of the light. That should be the improvement above the IC. Is there a chance that Orbit is coming out with something, an add-on of some kind, to improve this?

you would think, but since the IC is the newest they would give it the loop set up and the app for it. I think since the Pro is the higher end model it should be upgradable to using the app and the loop set up. It gives you 1000+ par on top of the water and more par in the water. It doesn't make sense to me why they wouldn't do it for the pro since people are most likely going to buy the one with more power. Thats why i considered selling the pro and getting the hydra 26 since it comes with wifi and an app that can be used on your phone and laptop or desktop.

Exactly! I sure hope they are working on something for this. Although, I'm not sure I would pay for it now unless it's cheap. As I've said in other posts, I am hoping that once I get these lights to a point where both the corals and my eyes are happy, I won't be messing with it and won't care about the UI. I hope.....
