I live in northwest Florida (Pensacola area). I will be in Orlando in June for 8 days. Does anyone know if the Orlando coral/fish stores will take an order, but delay shipping until I get back home? I plan on going to look, but it would be nice to know in advance if I can buy and have it shipped on a date determined by me :)

Thanks as always, R2R :)

Talk to World Wide Corals since their physical store is right next doors to their online store. I'm sure they will ship it since that is most of their traffic.

Besides wwc I also like top shelf aquatics and living reef Orlando. I'm not from orlando but whenever I visit I make sure to stop by those stores.

Ocean Blue Aquarium , Living Reef and Top shelf Aquatics are all within 2 miles of each other. WWC is 10+ miles away(South Orl) from these LFS's. And Reefers direct is actually in St. Cloud I would google map these places and plan accordingly. I would also call the stores to see if they have some of what you want. Hint: Know the Market price of what you want/like so you don't over pay on anything.:cool::cool: Have Fun :D:D:D:D:D:D

Not trying to butt in but I'm going down in sept. If I buy something and then come home the next day is there a need to ship? And how will I need to take care of them for the 12+ hrs home?

Corals are shipped all the time in transits that require more than 12 hours. As long as you make sure they see reasonable temperatures, stay wet, and don't get manhandled along the way, I think you'd be fine taking them back with you. I always carry an Igloo cooler for transporting livestock when I got to the LFS. The rigid box protects the livestock, provides a dark environment for shipping, can be packed with beach towel or pillows for padding, and helps moderate temperature swings.

I go to Top Shelf, Oceans Direct and Stormborn. Sometimes I get down to World Wide Corals. Top Shelf is a really good store with a good selection. Stormborn easily has, IMO, the best fish in the area. By best, I mean the ones in the best condition. Also, the owners try to sell customers fish that are appropriate for their systems, which is a rare thing indeed. The Orlando area has a plethora of good stores. Almost all of them are worth visiting.

I have one day at most to spend on fish stores, so I'll need to prioritize and make it count! :)
