This is how i want to mount mine if i get the orphek but i cant find the rail system used. It looks like the one AI used to make but not sure

Which app ,the one with clouds was updated and removed the later one does not have the cloud option .
I have just downloaded the android app for the v4 in preparation for the new light.

Yes that's the rail system I used there is a later version with SS end plates to make it more stable I will try find you a picture.

Yep that looks like it,the SS end plates are a bit too long and need adapting to fit.

What mods did you have to do to get it to work with the Atlantiks? Im good with tech and software but not a huge diy guy when it comes to physical things..

Yep that looks like it,the SS end plates are a bit too long and need adapting to fit.

The v4 app doesn't work with V2.1b model. I contacted Orphek and they didn't have any solution except to buy one of their tablet. What do you know about Orphek v2.1 app on Android. It used to work before the latest Android update.

The original screws were too short ,so took a sample to local engineering shop as I wanted same heads as they are counter sunk holes in the Perspex got longer bolts ,washers and lock nuts (all SS) and the rails just slide on .The plastic legs need trimming to fit the rails and are a bit flimsy .The end pieces are slotted so one end fixed with the screws that came with it and used a nylon washer from a flat panel tv mount the ones that have 2 diameters inner small fits in the slot and the outer holds it and you can screw it to the rail ,sorry about the explanation. You do this at your own risk and the above is how I mounted mine. The SS end piece is a couple of inches too long and my intention was to get some made for a perfect fit if I take them down .

The old app I presume you still have ,the issues I had was the unit had a mind of its own if you customise the settings with a period longer than 3 hours in the custom settings its ok if this is your problem keep the changes below 3hrs and it should be ok .I have issues with wifi in this area and house so I just connect via the web socket and program each light separately my boards are the same as yours as I only updated the led panels to V3 .

I can't change any specs or time. The moment you click the fields/windows it freeze up. Other Android users have the same issues and commented in the app store.

Not to be the Devils advocate but the new version of Android broke many apps. (Not just reef ones)

How long has it been since the most recent android update? a couple weeks? Kessil released the ap700 with a broken app that rendered the light mostly useless other than the most basic functions. Took a couple months to get one working the way they wanted.

Im a tech/software guy. so i understand that that kind of thing takes time.

Dont read this as me giving them a pass. But its not that far out of understanding.

I would be OK if they mentioned something able fixing the app. But they respond was it doesn't work on Android any more so I need to get an IPad or pay for their useless tablet that can with my original shipment that never worked in the 1st place. So I don't expect a fix any time soon. I asked to an alternative option and the hardware upgrade would cost me a grand.

I know that you have problems growing sps with your current situation; however, how do you know its not a pest in your aquarium vs. no nitrate situation. I'm just saying what if you get the light and still can't grow sps. I was in a similar situation where I blamed my lighting but actually had pests. I was about $2500 in the hole in lighting and more in lost frags before I realized my problem to turn my tank around. I just hate to see another fellow reefer spending hard earned money.

Colour and grow
Does it let you change times and percent
Do you have a red time marker on the graph.

I'm using a samsung tablet, if you can't do above its the app , did you keep the old version that you used previously

Not switching lights so i CAN grow sps, Im switching to LED because im quitting the attempt at sps. I bought the t5/led hybrid for this tank as thats what ive read to be the absolute best of both worlds for sps growing. I failed at keeping sps due to various reasons which i are mostly my fault and thats okay, but now i have a light that is overkill for what i want to do and i dont need the t5 and everything anymore. I understand that these LED lights have the ability to grow sps but that is not why i want to switch

I believe my issue with sps comes down to flow and some form of contaminant or chemical imbalance. i used to dose 2 part using an apex dos, i have an apex monitoring and controlling temp using 2 heaters. Use a tunze ato, using 0 tds water from 6 stage brs rodi unit and all that. have tried nitrates between 0 and 50 at one point, tried the aquaforest method and others.

Ever since i had dinos (about a year ago now) i havent been able to have sps really do anything but just hang in there or die. I recently picked up a few nice pieces in a frag swap (about a week ago now) and they are doing fine so far but still on the frag rack.

On a side note which i also think this plays a role.. I used to have bryopsis, which all of the sudden dissipeared about that year ago mark when the dino's did as well. Even when i had nitrates at 40ppm and phos at .1ppm, not a single form of algae grew other than the dusting on the glass. No hair algae, no bryopsis, no anything (no room for a fuge to test chaeto) this is also the same time that my green slimer stopped growing and died. I figured it was the high nutrients but ill never know the actual cause. The only sps i have thats growing at all is my purple stylo.

TL;DR Not switching lights to grow sps, just want to go 100% LED.

Hi,I have been running 3x3+ over an 8ftx2ft x2ft sps and lps tank for 6 months now replacing 400w halides,I have had no problems other than occasional wi-fi loss(my provider) light need time reset but hold program.
I am running at 100% all channels for 5 hours with two hour ramp morning and 4 hour ramp down in the evening.
Colour to my eye is very nice to look at bright with a blue cast,good spread,I can see no shadow ar dico effect tank is quite open though.
They are at 10 inches off water line.
Lps colour and growth has been good ,colour on sps also good but growth is very slow compared with the halides obviously this could be down to
Coral acclimatisation or other factors.
I would not go back.
The only complaint I woul make is other users do not seem to give settings or height info to make a comparison or for guide I have followed lots of threads and tried various searches.orpek info is fun but peer info would be great.
My par is 450 surface,250-300 mid way,100-120 on sand at 23 inches deep.this with an old quantum meter so may be low in blue response.

Maxwell,it would be great to see your settings as your tank is something to behold,been on your build threads but I don't think I have seen
Them.
