than a D60. yes. than a D90, no. the D3000 is a good entry level DSLR. I only recomend it because I use one myself.

I may have switched my mind to a canon t2i . I found a good deal on it for 529 so which one Nikon d3100 or canon. T2i. Idk the only thing that really pulls me to the canon is that the Nikon lens are so expensive because to get autofocus because the 3100 body doesn't have the motor built in the canon does .

Before you pull the trigger, this got me thinking and I bit the bullet and got the new Olympus TG-820 waterproof camera. The AWS was nice but plastic housing and not shock proof. $299.99 at Best Buy. Here is a photo, under water, no adjustments whatsoever under LED blue only.
