Back to Bacteria in a bottle. I've looked at Instant Ocean Biospira, Dr. Tim's one and only, and Dr. Tim's Eco Balance.

Of those it was only the one and only I didn't find any bacteria but plenty of detritus.

Tonight I'm looking at Microbacter7. It reminds me a lot of the Eco Balance but there is visually some differences in some of the bacteria.

It's not under the microscope but here's a couple amphipods building a burrow together that I thought was really cool.

This was previously posted in this thread of a baby amphipod under the microscope. One of my favorite pictures so far.

Not that I need an excuse to want to put something under the microscope but I certainly couldn't let Antony Van Leeuwenhoek's birthday go by with out doing so.

Grabbed a sample from my favorite place so far. My ATS.

That was by far the largest sample I've looked at under the microscope so far. I kind of nodded off last night a couple times while watching.

Lots of pods, Tons of diatoms, and a LOT more bacteria then I've seen before. Bacteria in a bottle has nothing on my tank. lol

I also found right away a very active ostracod whicg was very cool. Usually they aren't doing much of anything when I have seen them before.

I also got a very long video, which I nodded off at least once while recording, of a ciliate splitting.

Uploads coming.
