The copepods and copedites mandarins/dragonette eat are generally small specs and will require a magnifying glass to see well, the bigger "underwater crickets" are amphipods and while some dragonette of larger size can eat this most don't, but almost any other fish will!! None of these are bad things if population is kept in check just more tank cuc diversity!

I'm always fussing with the frags and actually petting my clowns! lol I hate sticking my hand in the tank with all these things in there! Well Is it harmful to do back to back water changes??
(re: bacteria and other good stuff) I would like to do several while mixing the substrate and cleaning filter and drastically reduce this outbreak!

Maybe just cut back on the amount each time.. Only what can be consumed in a few minutes time

That's a better idea....They all look for the food now! I got my peppermint and fire shrimp to both target feed out of a long t baster!

I wouldn't do back to back.. Maybe a small 10% twice a week for a bit, and if it is sand do not disturb it if it's crushed coral, ide just gravel vacuum it well during water changes.. Competition is good too, nassarius snails will eat what they eat and are reef safe.. Stock up on a bunch of these guys too :)

Idk stocking plans or size tank.. But any wrasse species will. Decimate the population of all of those things in a matter of a month or so!

a
wrasse will keep these pods and worms in check

Any wrasse? 6 line?
I am kind of at stocking capacity now.
I could possibly get one more since I have a lot of live rock and I do weekly water changes but that's not the kind of fish
I was going to get as my last fish..but maybe I should consider it... I have a nice group of peaceful guys in there right now!
Well maybe I will try to order changes a week and if the population doesn't get any better I'll consider getting one
Thanks for the advice

I have two of those guys in my original cleanup crew I hardly ever see them. Maybe I'll get a couple more..

I have tons of pods in my fuge but hardly ever see any in my display. 6 line is a killer.
I have heard many different things about the 6 line.
originally I wanted one I heard they were really great fish and they're beautiful to look at! Then I read a post where someone said it's the nastiest fish in the tank!
I put the brakes on right then and there!
I have two clowns, a Midas blenny, Royal gramma, and an orchid dottyback and everyone gets along beautifully! It's actually very tranquil and peaceful looking at the tank... I am all stressed out now with all these little white specs on my glass. Upsetting my balance!!LOL
So now hearing this again about the six line I don't think it's something I want...

Yeah I'm not sure I haven't had any problems with mine but he's only an inch and a half long so I guess time will tell. So for he's super peaceful with all my fish. On the other hand all those pods are awsome for your tank dispite the looks of them

I had that exact thing you are talking about a long time ago, I stopped noticing it and it just went away, never harmed corals or fish.

UPDATE******* 4 gallon water change seemed to make a big difference so far! Now I see the actual tiny pods floating around. I guess the ones I originally found last week are growing up! LOL I ill do another slightly lager WC tomorrow and I think it will be totally under control! Thanks everyone who read and answered and helped!

Wrasses will take care of both for you. A mandarin or leopard wrasse would devastate pods (unless they have somewhere safe to breed), and really almost any wrasse will eat bristles.

Yes that are I had the same thing my brother works for the Vancouver aquarium and good there are some fish that will eat then

One thing that you need to worry about with pods. They can and do eat zoas!! I didn't believe it until I researched and found out that they were the culprit with bugging my eagle eyes. Carnivorous pods!!! But they are very good for the tank when kept in check.
