Overflow drain pipe noise

Just play with. You already said you got it quiet. Is your plumbing under the tank rigid or flex pipe. You can twist that. The pipe I showed you is standard.

Wait guys, if you slow down the return pump, you also reduce the flow. I don't think you can reduce the flow freely, you have to guarantee a flow compatible with the skimmer, in example, to provide a good skimming.

If not, just use 200 l/h and you'll have a neearly silent tank but 200l/h is too low for almost any tanks bigger than a nano.
lowering gph is NOT a solution.
if, for example, I need 200gph water excante from DT to Sump, based on my corals, skimmers and so on, lowering it to make it silent is NOT a solution.

A solution is to silence keeping the same gph. (and I don't know how, because even mine is absolutely noisy, but I don't have an overflow like you in US but a simple drain tube with the hole in DT)
So my pump that I just ordered is adjusted gph through flow settings as far as flow goes I have a Nero 5 and another powerhead that’s plenty powerful for a 60 gallon so flow in the display isn’t a issue

I was talking in general. Suggesting to reduce the flow is not a solution. Is like saying that to reduce the wheel noise of the car, you have to raise the stereo volume or go slower.

Wdym ? I have the pump going sucking the water to the return and it overflows through the grate and down the drain tube the hoses are there to block some of the swirl and with what water is fighting with the air going down the drain tube is being taken care of the line. Hard to explain I guess
Looks like the water level in the overflow box is higher than the top of the drain pipe by a half inch or so. If that’s the case your pump is too big for your drain. On a single drain system you want the pipe less than half filled with water to allow air to go down without gurgling

Just the return is flex hose the down pipe is down to a elbow and into
Sump

Ahh I see well
I did order a new pump that should be less than what I have now so hopefully that'll
Be okay as of right now and the current situation with the water level being half an inch above the drain tube it’s still draining perfectly with no issues. I will say before adding those washer hoses it was not a half inch above the tube.
