Overflow Plumbing FijiCube Mistake?

So definitely do not glue in your internal pipes. I cut a bunch of different pipe lengths to get mine right. As I'm running the three drain bean animal I have no pipe on the siphon, and obviously pipe on the durso and emergency

Noted! I figured a slip fit, even as loose as it feels, was good atleast until I fine tuned. Makes sense that even a small leak past the emergency pipe would... just go down the drain anyways. haha

Yeah they want it to be a pure emergency drain. Personally with the two drain setup you should run pipe on both. So you raise the siphon drain a bit and raise the emergency a bit. You'll get less crashing that way
I thought the gate valve on the siphon was used to silence the crashing. I have never plumbing a sump before so I appreciate the guidance on that!

Okay there are two places for crashing. The water will enter your overflow downhill. So depending on your flow rate this level can be much lower then the tank. So loud waterfall. In your sump you want the pipes under water. However I run my emergency much higher in the sump so if it is being used I want to hear it :)

Now I didn't note the height of your emergency being wrong is because you're running flexible so not sure how you would keep that above the water line. It's just a added alarm

Makes sense and thank you for the help. I will definitely back some PVC pipe and my cutter into my moving box so I have it when I set it up.

Last question on my plumbing/sump designs... Where should the filter sock height be relative to the height of the first baffle? The very top of the filter sock is 2.5" above the first baffle. I can recut some egg crate to extend but given the previous advice about crashing/noise I was thinking it might be good to drop it down to match the first baffle. Thoughts?
