alright, i tried a lot to remedy this problem before going here to ask.

i have 240 gal thats 1 year old, with a 3 month old skimmer bubble magus b10 its foaming up like crazy and overflowing non stop.

diagnosis was something in my water.
and i believe its the culprit, because i reconfigured my plumbing so i think its caused by the epoxy i used.

remedy? (2) 50% water change done in a week
result? still overflowing.

lifted the skimmer a few inches, still overflowing.

ran (2) huge media reactors full of carbon
still overflowing.

im out of ideas. pls help

btw the skimmer is set to the lowest water level on its setting

I would temporarily raise the skimmer up higher until you notice a decrease in the skimming. I have delt with this once, and it lasted several days

I use several pvc couplings to achieve this with a frag rack sitting on top of them

How high does the water come up on the skimmer after you raised it?

i mentioned that i raised the skimmer a few inches

If none of that worked for you you'll have to wait a few days for things to settle. I get the same reaction when using epoxy for frags... If I do a lot of them at a time that is.

Yeah, I'm sorry. After all posted I saw you already raised it, sometimes as the above poster, I will just take off the cup for a few days and let thing settle

I have had this happen a couple times. Just take the top off and let it run a couple days.

My skimmer went crazy for like 2 weeks after using chemi clean. The only thing that fixed it was a vinegar bath.
