And I need to stress… DO NOT dose Alkalinity, Calcium, and Magnesium at the same time… Five minutes apart is fine, ten minutes apart is wonderful.

Got it. Im trying to figure how to adjust the minutes since my doser only does hourly which displays 1-24 for a 24 hour day. Ive never seen all three pumps go off at the same time even when i programed them hourly.

displays 1-24 for 24 hour period.

What kind of doser is it, I saw the LED screen and assumed it was either a Libra or Bubble Magus.

its actually a Blue Origin Doser. Its a "knock-off" China brand. But Ive seen some successful tanks using it.

notice on the bottom of the led screen there numbers 0-23. The line under the number means it will dose that hour and u can remove the line and you can remove the line if you wanna skip the hour.

Never heard of that one, heh... Can't be of any help with programming it, but I would hope you can manipulate the length of each dose...

I haven't seen you mention it... How big is your system? Age? Any FTS?

Yep, looks like you should have at least a bit of steady demand... Get yourself in a good steady dosing routine and it will all come together... Before you know it you'll be going weeks without having to touch the doser and you'll just be running an Alk test once a week!

Hey Tyler, Heres my parameters since for this week.

thanks Tyler. From 4/8 to current its still at 9dkh. Should i gradually drop it a little? to maybe 8 or 7 dkh? NSW

If you want it lower, I'd recommend just keeping your dosing where it is now and letting the increasing demand bring you lower.

When the Alk drops to the point where you like it, then adjust your dosing to meet the increased demand.

QUICK HELP. So i did my weekly water change and my alk dropped 1dkh again. its actually at 8dkh exactly where i want it but wouldnt that be a big swing? how do i calculate this on the reef calculator. Im not trying to raise it i want to keep it here without swinging it back up from my original dosing settings or swing it lower than 8 trying to make changes again.

What salt are you using and have you tested the alk of a fresh batch of salt? That's a large drop for a water change when you are changing at most 20% of your water.
