Thanks for the compliment deer, yes I've noticed that the test kits seem to all differ. I'm really enjoying this Redsea reef foundations test kit that I got, It is alot more accurate than my old API tests.

The brown diatoms have shown up about 3 days ago, hopefully will be gone by next week, as far as the cycle goes, really didn't seem much, of anything, I kept a good 30lbs of liverock in the sump from the old tank to help ease everything over. Can already see anaerobic bacteria creating some bubbles deep in the sand bed!

Taken right before the diatoms arrived. All fish and corals are happy as can be and for the most part only 2 acro colonies are a little faded.

Some update photos diatoms finally went away and everything is looking good. Added a Rainfordi goby last week and also cleaned up my wires, added my frag rack and am just waiting on my bulb to be delivered!

How do you have your two Jabeos arranged? I have a 120 with two WP40s and can't find a good arrangement that I like.

I have them both on the same side of the tank(left side), about 7 inches below the surface, and each is about 8 inches from either side left/right, I get great flow across the top and slower along the sand bed, practically a gyre current.

In my 55 I had them set up that way but after a lot of research it seems that a gyre style current is a lot better at removing nutrients and waste from the corals as compared to a wave style movement and such. Plus with the RW-8's being able to communicate it makes syncing them a lot more effective when on the same side I feel. But this is just my experience!

Tank busted open last night at 2am... Literally the front panel cracked from corner to corner, luckily It woke me up and i was able to save most the livestock/fish, Everything a mess right now and my corals spread around the town in different tanks. Not sure what I'm going to do but I'm probably going to have to sell 90% of my livestock unfortunately.

Dang Paul, so sorry to hear about your tank. Just looked through your thread and saw all the hard work you put in to it. As a current college student myself, I know how tough it is to spring for an unexpected expense; hopefully there's a generous reefer in your area with a spare tank they could kick down so you don't have to get rid of your livestock! Best of luck.
