Beautiful tank. I have the 40g breeder as well but yours is much better than mine. I'm trying to upgrade to a led light. I see you are using photon v2 24" one. How do you like the light? Since it's 12" shorter than the tank how high do you keep it above the tank? Did you hang it or used the mounting that comes with the tank. Thanks.

Thanks! The light is really nice. I hung it from the ceiling (it came with mounting brackets also). It is 11" off the water surface and seems to cover a 40b nicely.

Thanks a lot for the response. I was worried about the coverage since it's smaller than the 40b.

No problem. I took a gamble buying the first ones available, with no reviews. Lol. Happy to help. Logan @reefbreeders will answer any questions about specs and what not you may have. Seems like a good guy to me and was helpful will all of my questions.

Ended up getting rid of my Midas blenny. I really thought it was gonna work out, but I noticed a nip taken out of my C. rubriventralis' tale, and also on the dorsal fin on my new C. lineatus. That was my last straw with him, sorry bud, gotta go.

There sure are some awesome 40 breeders on this site. I would love to have one similar. I am following along.

Thanks guys. @Husker, 40 breeders are such an excellent small tank. The dimensions are just about perfect for a reef tank for its size/gallons. @revhtree, a C. lineatus would be a very nice choice for that awesome in wall build you have in the works! ;)

I posted in the wrasse lovers thread about the loss of my lineatus wrasse a few days ago. I guess I forgot to put it on my thread. He somehow got a spinal injury and died over night. A real bummer. I have since added a yellow banded possum wrasse to the tank who is still timid, but otherwise doing good. Here is a little cell phone video of the new guy.
