"Pay it Forward" Chaeto

It is about time to harvest some chaeto from my fuge. I removed some about a month ago and gave some to a local reefer, and sent a quart to another member. In lieu of paying postage for the package that I sent, I asked the member to make an equitable donation to a charity of his choice. I was impressed by his followup actions, so I figured I might as well do this again, but on a slightly bigger scale.

So here is the deal - I will send 5 quart size baggies of chaeto to 5 different members, and in return I only ask that you commit to do a good deed in return. A donation to charity, volunteering your time for a good cause, buy lunch for a veteran, etc. Your choice. I won't judge.

Oh, and since I do have a budget, I need to limit this to the continental US only. So, who wants some?

OK, it is now all spoken for! If you haven't sent your address yet, please do so. I can only get to the post office on Fridays or Saturdays, so I'd like to send them all off this week if possible instead of waiting another week. I imagine I will do this again...I'll let you know!

Just got back from the post office and six shipments of chaeto are on the way. Expected delivery is Monday. Each is a good size handful in a quart size baggie as shown below. Please remember the agreement - your task is to do something good for someone else. Please let me know when you have received your package and if it is in good shape. And if you wish, what your good deed will be. Maybe it will inspire others!

Oh, and what’s up with California? Is there a chaeto shortage there? 5 of the 6 packages are heading there.

Thanks guys! I hate throwing away anything that can still be useful to someone else. Plus it make me feel good that I may be helping someone else, and they in turn may be helping even more people. A win-win for all of us!
