It doesn't really need to be refrigerated. We say that for people that buy a lot of it and need to keep it as fresh as possible. We have plenty of hobbyists and breeders that don't refrigerate and use it in an auto-feeder, routinely, without issue.Never knew TDO was supposed to be refrigerated! Kind of makes using a pellet food in an auto feeder pointless.
I have never refrigerated it in the 3 years I've been using it. Never noticed a difference either.
I mix TDO, NLS, and algae max pellets in my auto feeder fed twice a day.
