I need to get my fish to eat dry foods, preferably pellets, so I don’t have to worry about having someone feed them while traveling. I tried the PE pellets and they are only consumed by the hermits. I was reading about TDO and DKi. Wondering what dry foods everyone is feeding their fish and the pellet size. Fish size range lsfrom 1.5” gobies to a 2” yellow tang. Stocking is 1 clown goby, 2 percs, 1 yellow tang, 1 royal gramma, and 1 bicolor blenny.

Flake with a feeding ring works well also.

I prefer it to pellets since it floats in the water column better.

Just be sure to pay attention to what you feed. Most pellets and flake are heavy protein and not designed for herbivore fish (your tang).

You can get specific herbivore varieties.

+1 for Reef Nutrition's TDO Chromaboost.
I feed "Xsmall" pellets.. but they're TINY pellets.
With your stocking list, you'll be best with their "Small" pellets.. but if you plan to add any other fish smaller than 1" in the future, the Xsmall is what ya want.

Suggestion:
If you have overflow(s), consider adding a floating "feeding ring" below your auto feeder. Cheap on Amzn.
It will keep the pellets from flowing out before the fish find it there (at least until they learn where/when to EXPECT the food to drop!).

Another Suggestion:
If there are any trustworthy neighbors/nearby friends, it's nice to have them come put their eyes on the tank for you every so often..
I let the auto feeder do most of the feeding, but have the friend feed a little frozen at his convenience.. and he LOVES to be a part of it.
Now he even tops off my ATO reservoir!

I feed seaweed extreme pellets and ocean nutrition prime reef flakes

TDO and seaweed extreme for me. Since you have tang, get some seaweed extreme in small size. I used NLS and have some pe mysis too but TDO is my fav

Mix it up for sure. Mine get a mix of 5 different pellets.
PE pellets 2mm
Neptune (tdo) Crossover
Nyos Wild goji
Nyos True Algae
And nyos true Aloe

TDO Chromoboost is my favorite pellet by far. I use the "Small" size pellet, and my clownfish, fairy wrasse, and pink streaked wrasse love them.

Thank you so much for the suggestions and size recommendations!

Mine like TDO, New Era and Hikari seaweed

New Life Spectrum marine pellets. All my fish love them. Lots of good stuff in there.

Another vote for TDO. I read somewhere it has the best nutritional profile and fish seem to love it most consistently. The variety of sizes is nice too!
