I knew I would own a purple people eater the day I found out there was a coral with that name. At first I didn't even know it was a zoo.

This all starts before I was even born back when my mom was in high school
The school colors were purple and white. this started the family curse:snicker:
my mom started collecting everything purple. by the time I was born the carpet, the couch, the cabinets, the dishes, and the walls were all purple.
If you found any pictures of me when I was to little to dress myself, you guessed it, my clothes were purple. In our neighbor hood to this day our family members are called the purple people eaters.

So I started researching PPE's and I have now fell in love with zoo's and paly's
I was able to trade a RBTA for a PPE. it is a slow grower I still only have 1 polyp it did fall in the sand and get moved behind the rock work for a few weeks. after rearanging the tank it was found bleached white. it has slowly regained its color. I want a rock covered in different PE's please post as many different morphs of PE's here so I can convince my wife they are worth it.

The pink morph of the HPE is really cool. Under actinics they glow pink.

Aloha Corals you need to get some yellow safety glasses and look at the tank with the house lights off and just the actinics. Your tank will look like a disco floor. I have a friend that has a piece of yellow acrylic he cut to match his 10 gallon and wow the colors pop. the yellow lens actually filters out the blue.
