i was curious to see whatn i had the ph change and here's what it looked like on apex. i'm guessing the only way i get something that dramatic of a change is calibration? funny how i dont see the 7.0 and 10.0 from calibration though.

It won't show readings when it's calibrating. It should show a reading if you finish calibrating and then go back and put the probe into each solution and wait for it to take a reading. I set data logging to 1 minute so I don't have to wait long for it to record a reading. I just did mine recently but unfortunately it's off the chart now. For the following week though it clearly had the swing to both 7 and 10 one right after the other.

just tried soaking in vinegar for 15 min and then recalibrating. still same issue.

Interesting, and yes, likely calibration or interference of some sort. Did you have a power failure then?

just got my new ph probe and this one wont read calibration fluid correctly. i calibrate it and afterwards I place it in the calibration fluid and it always reads 0.20 to high. I guess its an Apex issue now?

That just doesn't seem possible if it's calibrating correctly. Can you walk us through each step? I messed up my calibration a few times hitting next before the reading settled. I always do the advanced manual mode calibration too.

How long are you leaving it in the calibration fluid afterwards to see if it's reading those correctly?

well problem solved. all i had to do was reset the apex. wow what a mess.

now i know i can start 2 part w/ soda ash instead of sodium bicarbonate. lol

Sorry to bump an old thread. I have a similar issue with my Apex. Used to run Soda lime on my skimmer and would top around 8.35. Recalibrated at 7 and 10 multiple times and now it would hit about 8.6 if I run soda lime with ALK at 8. What did you reset on your apex which resolved this?

Will try an aeration test as well before messing with my Apex.

just reboot the apex. goto misc settings and there's a reboot box you can check.
