FWIW, since it came up here, I thought I'd copy and past this comparison from another thread today.
The issue is whether pH indicating dyes are equally suitable in freshwater and seawater.
Here's a table I made showing the type of issue that makes the data not exactly correct, and, IMO, makes any pH measurement with a kit not specifically designed for seawater ONLY to not be guaranteed reliably accurate, even if it says suitable for seawater and freshwater:
