Phosban Reactors! Are they worth buying?

I run the TLF reactor with GFO. getting ready to add a second with carbon. Been running the reactor with BRS gfo but getting ready to run the new Carbon and gfo from ATB.

should be interesting to see how it stacks up. anyone else get their hands on any yet ?

i love my BRS dual reactor with GFO and carbon, my tank has looked a ton better since adding it and completly wiped out my hair algae

i run gfo in a Next Reef reactor but will most likely change to BRS reactors since i hear they are easier.

A good skimmer will suck the skin and lights out of everything, but do bare in mind that there are very microscopic particles that do not get caught so the GFO will clean off all remnants.

Poland, yes, you must wash the GFO, but use RO/DI water. If you use tap water you'll use up some of the GFO's capacity because it will clean the tap water while you're rinsing it.

@Poland, I change out my GFO during a water change. I place it unrinsed in the TLF reactor and redirect the return hose (from the reactor back to the sump) to a 5 gallon bucket. As it removes water for my water change, it rinses the media. I finish off by replacing the water removed with my new water...and placing the reactor return back in the sump.

Great idea! I never thought of this!
