Phosphate issues 5 + years

I don’t have any local clubs in the area. Actually been thinking of starting one.
I do have an area where I grow chaeto. But it doesn’t grow like you’d think with the phosphate levels what they are.
Maybe your cheato is iron limited.

My local pool place has a lanthanum product called pho’s free. Has anyone used this one.

Sorry
What does that mean
In your test result on the first page. It shows Fe at 0.00 which is iron. Although this is fine for the reef, higher plants like Cheato and other macro algae need some iron to grow. Problem with that is hair algae and bryopsis are also macro algae also need it.

I tend to disagree since ICP cannot test anywhere close to natural levels of iron. It may be low and need dosing, or not. :)

No, sorry.
I have used Chlorox Pool & Spa.
From the label:
"1qt treats 10000 gallons"
It has a precaution statement ~ "Contains lanthanum chloride" but does not indicate any other content.

I presume all of these are the same formulation (and wouldn't be surprised if these pool cleaners were all packaged at the same plant into different containers?)

SeaKlear and natural chemistry are my preference with pool products such as phosphate remover

Could be why I don’t have an algae problems.

Well that experiment went south. Went to test the lr in the bucket. Found the water at 120. Heater stuck on.
