Phosphate only removal, without using GFO

I have a yellow tang that looked terrible both times I dosed Lanthium Chloride in the tank swam around breathing super heavy looked like he just saw a ghost.

When you dose LC, you drip it over a long period of hours or just pour the amount in one go?

I dose iron supplement and control the PO4 .
So far PO4 level stay within the range of 0.02 to 0.1

I bought a DSR iron citrate supplement a couple of years ago and it seemed to work well at reducing PO4. The only issue was that shipping from Europe made the purchase a bit too expensive for my taste. Are you using an iron citrate or just iron? Is it DIY or off the shelf?

FWIW, I don’t believe the citrate is important in that use, and a simple diy using ferrous gluconate from a drug store as Fergon tablets should work.

Would you mind sharing your experience on how effective Fergon tablets are for lowering or precipitating phosphate in your case? What is your mixing recipe and daily dosage for your system and how many total gallons is your system? Thanks!

Dosing in one shot might result in stress on live stock.If can try to use a doser and dose the amount over

@angminsoon or @Randy Holmes Farley, How do you go about creating a dosing solution? A single tablet mixed in one liter of water? What size tablet?
