Phosphates reading 0.94 with Hana Low Range checker. How can I lower it? Thanks

Gfo, refugium, less feeding, better quality food, better salt, etc. Countless more answers really but depends how on your specific situation(ie why is it so high, are nitrates also high, etc) and how you want to deal with it.

The short answer though i would say gfo.

Gfo needs changed when phosphates start rising again(generally a month or two). If you do GFO though research it a bit. You do mt want to add a massive amount and drastically drop phosphate too quick.

Also since nitrates are high(gfo wont help with that) you may want to consider other approaches like a refugium, carbon dosing, etc. If you reduce phosphate to zero using gfo that can actually make removing nitrates harder.

Since it’s too high, You may want to consider something like

Phosphat-E - Phosphate Remover

Will look into it....................................Thanks for the replies

This is an issue I'm dealing with. I believe the rocks are leaching phosphates.

How often GFO be changed?
It depends on your system when changing GFO. Take for instance I use GFO and between my 60-gallon sump and 210-gallon tank, I have calculated 240 actual gallons of water. I use Bulk reef supply High capacity gfo because it lasts longer.
I use 1.8 cups and I change it once a month. It cost a lot which is why I am going to look into Phosphat-E - Phosphate Remover lol.

Tank has been setup for a year. The rock is from a previous tank so basically yes it was dead rock.

GFO will bring it down slowly you might wanna use something to drop them a little faster and use GFO to keep them low. Phosphat-E - Phosphate Remover and Phosphate Rx will do just that.

Used Phosphate Rx to bring it down to where it is. Was probably as high as 5-6(Salifert only reads up to 3). Misread the directions and lost a pair of Gem Tangs. Waiting on the 10 micron socks to arrive before trying again.

I would use Phosphat-E - Phosphate Remover or Phosphate Rx and drop them over a period of a few days.
Day 1 I would drop them by 0.31
Day 3 I would drop them by 0.31
Day 5 I would drop them by 0.21
maybe use gfo to bring down the 0.11 over 2 days. get them to 0.03 - 0.08
