He didn’t like my imperator however that’s because when i bought the imperator, he was much smaller than the blue face. It was a 240 gallon tank and boy he grunted a lot! For the longest time i thought my tank was vibrating from a back siphon, later to find out it was him all along! Ha
Oh wow. That loud?!? Have you ever tried him with other kind of angels? I’m thinking of the conspicuous, false personifier, rock beauty, blue line or queen angel.

Koran as on the less difficult scale to get eating, and see juveniles available on a semi-regular basis and on the less expensive side as well, while still having attractive coloring. And slow growers so will be sometime before adult colors come in. We are talking a fowlr though right? Lol

Yeah super loud, my imperator was too. I had him with a flame and coral beauty and a bunch of tangs without any issues other than the imperator

Yes a fish only tank. How are there temperament? How long it take to go from say 2 inches to say 7-8 inches?

That’s really good to know. I want to also have dwarf angels, tangs, anthias and wrasse

Year or 2 ish maybe a little longer. They can be aggressive to tank mates when they mature. Usually towards angels that look like them and if fish are added after them that want to claim their territory. So would be last or near last added.

Thank you very much. I’ll have to put him back on my list then. It would be amazing if Bali Aquarist, Poma Lab or someone else is able to captive breed this beautiful fish. Did your Blue Face grow fast? What size was your tank? I have a 205 gallon display tank that I’m about to set up.

They're not fast growers imo. 4" to 10" in like 3yrs. It was in a 300w.

Oh ok. Thanks. I was thinking of putting the tangs in after the angels. Do you think that it should be the other way around?

Well I currently own conspicuous, true personifier, regal, male scribbled. All under 4" and they get along great with regal being the bully or dominate of bunch (weird I know, regals are usually most timid)
Never seen a male scribbled 4”

I currently have a large Queen (8”) a transitioning Emporer and a transitioning French angel. For the most part everyone gets along great. A big tank is require with limited soft/lps corals with these guys.

I know me either! He is actually 3.5 " in size. He is still in QT until next week. I just added my conspicuous and true personifier back in display last week after going fallow for 120 days.

I don’t think it really matters if you add tangs before or after angels, as there is really little to no interaction between them.

Really nice. How long did it take for your Queen angel to get to 8”?
