Picked this maxima up yesterday

And yes he's a big boy at about 7.5"

And I can't remember seeing a clam with the crackle/lightning pattern in years. Am I remembering correctly they used to call these lightning clams?

Not sure about the name, but what a beauty. I just picked up a clam yesterday too. But, mine's only 2-1/4" and a typical Squamosa. I typically don't see them that size unless it's being sold by a fellow reefer. Nice find.

Well good news on the clam.

If you weren't aware. My tank crashed and I lost everything

I got this clam over to a buddy's house and it was touch and go for a few days but he told me yesterday it is wide open and happy again

Turbo, so sorry to hear about the tank crash but glad that you could save that beautiful clam. I see you are a fellow Penguin fan and Pittsburgher!

Thanks alot. And on a side note did you see they reported today that Letang had a stroke last week!! Crazy
