Picking rodi system

Here's decent starting point for a ro/di system.

@Buckeye Hydro

Ordered some di resin and o-rings earlier today from them.

BRS and SpectraPure are probably the most prevalent systems in the hobby

I have a SpectraPure system that I purchased over 10 years ago...a quality system will last a long time. If you select a unit that has standard-sized filters, you can replace the filter portion that is a best-fit for your changing needs.

Actually, now when I looked better at the image of Aquatic Life RO Buddie, I see that it has DI part. I guess that it's just a question which one would you go with? Or would you maybe recommend something else in that price range?

They are pretty common. The BRS uses some standard replacement parts but it is easy to get ro buddie ones. Either one will work just fine.

Hi all,

I have a 20 gallon tank and I'm trying to stay on the budget but still raise the water quality by purchasing RO/DI filter. I see some people are recommending RO Buddie, but that's just RO part. Since I'm new I don't know how much a DI part is important. So I found this other filter that has DI part but I'm not sure how good it is. I'll put links to both filters that I'm thinking of and I would really like to know your opinion and with which one would you go with. Thanks!

I started with a 20 gallon tank just over a year ago. The RO Buddie has been great, just get the 4-stage model with the DI.
