Just curious, you said earlier you were upgrading to the Vortech MP10WQD Driver, was your MP10 previously a wireless module?
 
Ok, everything is in place now. Still need to figure out how to attach MP10 to WXM module and get the Wi-Fi adaptor. I like the result ! ;)

Looks really nice and clean setup! What do you mean by "get the WiFi adapter"? Does your new Quiet Drive have the RF Module in the top left corner of the PCB? ...what information is under "Configuration > Module Setup"? I'll attach pix of mine, is yours similar?

If your previous MP10 was a wireless version, you would have transferred the old RF Module to the new Quiet Drive PCB, it does not come with one, or mine didn't anyway. You would have unplugged it from the old and plugged it into the new when you did the upgrade, see the instructions that came with the upgrade. The Netgear Ethernet adapter you mentioned should work to connect the Apex to your router and it's wireless! I'm using a similar D-Link setup but uses my home wiring to connect. It's two modules, one at the Apex and one at the router. It's pretty nice if you're using ApexFusion, you can monitor/control your system from anywhere with an internet connection.

Awesome! Hope you get it working. One more note of caution if you plan to connect by a wireless adapter: if you ever need to do Apex firmware updates, it is recommended to use a wired Ethernet connection and not wireless.
 
Omg ... I totally forgot about Chemi Pure Blue Nano that I'm using in the media basket ! It should have been replaced every month and it was there like for 6 months or so hehehe. Replacing now one pack every week until all old one are gone. Well, if the system was ok with super old filter media I hope it's going to be only better with the new fresh one. Can't wait to see the result. ;)
 
I've added a PM2 module yesterday with the salinity probe and I'm very surprised how big is the difference from my calibrated refractometer. It's just huge, I've recalibrated three times to be sure ... And started bringing up salinity t0 desired levels. It was 30.5 ppm. in my tank when refractometer was at 34.5 ppm. Added salt water mix to ATO to make this process slow and safe. We'll see how it's going to affect the system in several weeks.

Ok, so the situation is: I've calibrated x5 times the salinity probe already and it's showing 34.8 calibrated in the 35 ppm calibration solution at 77F. Using 2.2 compensation with Apex module. Following all the steps very carefully. Probe in the tank was 30.5 ppm. few days ago and 33 ppm by the refractometer - > 2.5 ppm difference. I've started to ATO salt water for few past days and the salinity now is 32.2 ppm by the probe and 35 ppm by the refractometer it's 2.8 ppm of difference. Refractometer sure is calibrated daily now. So I'm moving on to 34.5 ppm by probe and it's super scary to be honest. Refractometer will show 37 ppm at the end point. 1.028 sounds huge and scary, I hope Apex is telling the truth !

Well I decided not to go higher. I think this is the Apex Probe who's not super accurate, so I'm going to use it from now to control a stable level of the salinity in the tank but will still using my refractometer for detailed analysis. What I did:

1. Calibration solution 35 ppm.

Digital Refractometer - Show 35.
Regular Refractometer - Show 35.
Probe - Show 34.8.

2. Tank water.

Digital Refractometer - Show 35.
Regular Refractometer - Show 35.
Probe - Show 32.3.

I don't know how it's happening but there is something in the tank that change the result. Maybe solids in the water etc.
 
Ok, I'm going to try it and trust the probe. Let's see .... I hope this is the right way. Going to 34.5 ppm by Apex. It's gonna be around 38 ppm by the refractometer.
