Hehehe indeed, this is what I've started to do as well when added sps. With zoas it's much easier to see if they grow or not.

I'll just have to figure out my camera settings... I'm using a Kessil and it makes everything SUPER blue. Even the white balance does not take.

I'm planning on building a white setup from RapidLED to offset the blues to help with the pictures.
I had an issue with zoa's in my last tank and am a little scared to try them again. I think it was the lights I had over the last tank, but it still drives me nuts when things die for no reason..lol

You can adjust your Kessil to take a photo and then back to your deep blue settings.

This is how I was doing it.

Actually I can't..LOL it is an a150w deep ocean blue. Non adjustable... call it old school, but I got a steal of a deal on it!

1 Radion Gen 3 pro with wide Lens (thinking of trying out t-5s)
1 Nyos skimmer 120
1 MP40 QD (reeflink) I think two would be over kill in my opinion.
Reactor- Cadlights cone running bio pellets
1 BRS reactor- running ROX carbon
ATO: Smart ATO
Controller: Apex Controller with Lab-Grade pH Probe - Neptune Systems
